We offer courses and qualifications in marketing at undergraduate, masters and doctorate levels, as well as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Certificate in Professional Marketing. As a result, graduates from our programmes join a thriving, active and substantial network of marketing specialists. Students benefit from learning with our experienced practitioners, our close relationships with successful businesses and our links with the CIM.
Our links with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and our connections with regional, national and international businesses allow us to engage students in live projects and provide impressive placement and internship opportunities. Our students take part in competitions and compete very successfully in a number of marketing challenges, including The CIM ‘Pitch’ and the IDM Student Marketing Challenge.
During their time with us students run the Leeds Marketing Society. This offers opportunities for involvement in projects, events including guest speakers from the world of marketing and professional networking.
Placement opportunities are strongly supported by Leeds Business School. We have placed students with highly reputable, international businesses, such as Disney, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, 3M, Bosch and Xerox, to name but a few. Students on placement are often offered permanent posts to return to following graduation. More broadly, our graduate employability rate remains consistently high as a result of our teaching / learning strategy and the range of opportunities that we offer.
Head of Subject
Nick is the Head of Subject for the Marketing and PR & Journalism Subject Groups.
In 2015 Nick won the University's 'Achieving Excellence' Award for 'Team Leader of the Year' and he has also been short-listed for the TES 'most Innovative Teacher of the Year' award. Nick is also a University Teacher Fellow and Principal Lecturer.Read More
