1. Attend your course induction

During Welcome, you should attend your course induction where you will meet your course team. You will find out more about your course, online teaching tools and resources, exams, assessments and feedback, as well as the wide range of support that is available to you as a student. Attending your course induction will help you understand what is expected of you and how you will study, it’s also a great opportunity to meet other people on your course.

Should you experience any difficulties accessing your induction timetable or attending induction sessions, please contact your course admin directly. You can find the details for your course administrator in your course handbook.

2. Collect your campus card

Your campus card is your Student ID, for proving your student status as well as allowing you access to campus, university buildings and our libraries.

As part of your online enrolment you are required to upload a suitable* photograph for your campus card to Online Welcome. For more information about how to collect your campus card once you arrive and the photo upload deadline visit our designated campus card page.

*for details on what constitutes a suitable photo, please visit Online Welcome or review the ‘Further guidance on suitable photographs’ on the campus card info page.

3. Access your Teaching timetable

Your teaching timetable will be available during Welcome. This provides full details of your lectures, seminars and other timetabled sessions, including the date, time, week number and venue and location. If your timetabled sessions are taking place online, you will receive instructions from your course team about how to access your teaching.

To access your timetable, log in to your virtual learning environment MyBeckett, and scroll down to click on 'Your Timetable' or you can access your timetable via the Leeds Beckett app.

You should discuss any difficulties relating to your engagement with timetabled sessions with your Course Administrator.

Room codes

The room code states the campus, building, then room number, and begins with either HC or CC. HC = Headingley Campus; CC = City Campus.

After the campus and building codes, the room number is indicated:

  • Numbers beginning with ‘1’ are on the first floor (e.g. 105)
  • Numbers beginning with ‘2’ are on the second floor (e.g. 227)

For example:

CC LSB107 = CC (City Campus) → LSB (Leslie Silver Building) → 107 (1st floor)
