Give a guest lecture
Nothing inspires our students like hearing from someone who lived in the same halls of residence, spent late nights in the same library that they have, and been taught by the same world-class academics as them and then gone on to excel in their chosen field.
Whether you’ve become an expert on a particular topic or have great insights to share about how our students can make themselves as employable as possible then we’d love to welcome you back to speak to students.
I really enjoy the inquisitive and thought-provoking nature of the students. I routinely get asked questions which create real, positive discussions which shows me that they are developing their knowledge and skills through questioning practice and comparing evidence, which is vital
Josef Faulkner, Operations Manager, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and Leeds Beckett Guest Lecturer
Share your passion
Engaging a cohort of students and sharing your passion with them means that you and your business are investing in the next generation who will soon be forging a career in your industry. Sharing your experience with students means you’re also benefitting your own business by upskilling the local graduate community.
Donating your time to give a guest lecture to students also provides you with the opportunity to revisit your old campus and see how the university has developed since you were last here whilst also developing your public speaking skills in a relaxed but engaged atmosphere.
If you think your expertise can benefit current students, then get in touch with the Alumni Team.
