Welcome to the Centre for Research & Innovation in Childhood, Education and Society (RICHES).
Based at Leeds Beckett University, we are an inclusive and expanding hub which supports all collaborative ventures leading to the creation, interpretation and dissemination of new knowledge and the sharing of expertise in related areas across the University and the wider communities it serves.
Operating within the University’s Carnegie School of Education, our centre’s varied and diverse networks and partnerships are committed to making a difference. We undertake high quality and evidence-based studies with demonstrable impact. Developing areas of research activity and specialisation are located within the centre’s three broad research groups or clusters: the Higher Education Research Group; Professional Practice and Learning; and Children, Young People and Families. The centre also works closely with Carnegie Leaders in Learning, delivering professional development to schools across the Yorkshire and Humber regions and beyond.
