The university is part of the Leeds/Bradford MCCU, a partnership with the University of Leeds, Bradford University and Bradford College. With this and the AU club, cricketers are able to access high quality indoor and outdoor facilities, with intensive training and coaching. Players for both the men's and women's team have gone on to play for Country Cricket teams and have the opportunity during the year to play against County level teams.

Training begins with indoor nets in October for all teams, with fixtures from April to June. Competitively, the club plays in BUCS, with the men’s first team in Premier North and current BUCS Trophy Winners.

Leeds Beckett University adopts the UK Anti-Doping and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) position that cheating, including doping, is fundamentally contrary to the spirit of sport, undermining the otherwise positive impact it can have on society.
