Studying International Tourism management with Marketing

The main factor influencing my choice of university was that my chosen course be taught by industry professionals. When picking a university, it was important that I was receiving a quality education from people who have experienced, grown and excelled within the industry itself. I have always known that my goal was to focus on management within the tourism industry. I want to become a leader, specifically, a leader who inspires and motivates change for the better in a sector that is constantly evolving.

How will the Bright Futures Scholarship help?

My main aspiration for the future is to become a hotel owner. I currently work as a guest service assistant in a hotel so I guess I'm not too far off! Studying a management degree at Leeds Beckett will provide me the skills and industry insight necessary to achieve my dream job role. Moreover, the support from the Bright Futures Scholarship would help me realise my goals for and allow me to be able to afford to attend tourism board networking events, and potentially join a few! This would broaden my knowledge and allow me to connect with key stakeholders within the tourism business, supporting my dream.
