Like many of our students Edward took advantage of our career seminars and graduate fairs to network with industry professionals and enhance his employability. On graduating from his MSc Management degree in 2011 Edward became the Conference and Events Co-ordinator at the iconic Queens Hotel, Leeds. Two years later he took on the role of Sales Manager at the brand new Lotte Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Edward is now Regional Officer (South East Asia) for Leeds Beckett University in Vietnam and promotes Leeds Beckett University to international using the presentation, critical thinking, negotiation and management skills learned at Leeds Beckett. Thinking about his time in Leeds the main things Edward misses are using the well-equipped library, his module leaders who he describes as very kind and helpful as well as meeting new people in the Rose Bowl.

Edward explains: “When I saw the position became available, and realized that the regional hub was going to be in Vietnam, I didn’t hesitate to apply. Thankfully I was offered the position and had no hesitation in becoming a member of the Leeds Beckett International Recruitment & Partnership family.
“I’m based Hanoi where our regional hub is located. However, I may travel to the countries within South East Asia throughout the year to meet and support students, agents & partners and any other university activities.
“As I’ve been a student of Leeds Beckett myself so I have first hand experience moving to Leeds, living in Leeds and studying at Leeds Beckett. So all the students will have a clear picture of what their life will actually be like during the time at Leeds Beckett University. I’m able to answer any question about studying at Leeds Beckett, the city of Leeds or the UK in general. I also help students with their application making sure their visa application is completed correctly.
