You should also have experience of working with a variety of client groups in the outdoors and a sound understanding of the outdoor sector including relevant legislation.
Evidence of a high standard of customer care and excellent interpersonal, communication and customer liaison is essential. To be successful in joining us you should be comfortable working without supervision and also as a member of a team, providing support and assistance to colleagues when required.
You'll usually work long, irregular hours including evenings and weekends. There are more work opportunities available in the summer months and less in winter. The work is physically demanding and involves being outside in all weather conditions, often in remote locations. You'll work in open countryside, rugged terrain, hills, mountains, gorges, rivers and lakes. Our activity programmes will often involve staying away from home in hostels or camping.
