Funding opportunities

We are keen to encourage as many individuals and groups to enjoy the benefits of our range of activities. To facilitate this, some of the current funding opportunities you may be able to apply for are listed below:

YHA Educational Breaks Programmes offer support to educational groups where members of the group are eligible for pupil premium and where children and young people face additional social challenges.

YHA provide information and guidance on who can apply and how, please click below to find out more.

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to schools so that they can support their disadvantaged pupils and close the attainment gap between them and their peers. Carnegie Great Outdoors is working with local schools to develop outdoor activities programmes that can play a great role in the pupil support and development programmes funded by The Pupil Premium.
The Institute for Outdoor Learning recognises that the biggest barrier to people learning and developing through outdoor activity is securing the funds. There are many potential sources of funding as a user or provider of outdoor learning, ranging from public sector grants channelled through schools, through independent trusts that recognise the societal benefits of outdoor learning, to large corporates with social benefit programmes.
