We can now reveal our full fitness class timetable for all of you students.
We are introducing our new Les Mills fitness classes: BODYATTACK, BODYCOMBAT, BODYPUMP, GRIT & SH'BAM (which you can read more about further down the page) as well as retaining some of our most popular classes from last term.

LBU fitness class descriptions
BODYATTACK is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts.
We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats.
A LES MILLS instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way, burning up to 730 calories* and leaving you with a sense of achievement.
Step into a BODYCOMBAT workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 740 calories along the way.
This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master.
Our Les Mills instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round.
You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ.
BODYPUMP is a barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast.
Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories*.
Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own!
LES MILLS GRIT™ Cardio is a 30 minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximize calorie burn.
GRIT Strength is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle.
This workout uses barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.
GRIT takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you, motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.
A fun-loving, insanely addictive dance workout. SH’BAM is an ego-free zone – no dance experience required. All you need is a playful attitude and a cheeky smile so forget being a wallflower – even if you walk in thinking you can’t, you’ll walk out knowing you can!
Various exercise options are given so that you are able to adjust the intensity level so that it is right for you and your body.
ABSolution is for anyone looking to increase their fitness and their lifestyle by strengthening the powerhouse of the body–the core.
The perfect class for those recovering from injuries and for those seeking improving their general wellbeing.
This plyometric circuit will lead you to jump higher and further, to run quicker and faster, to throw an object or ball farther and to lift bigger weights with more ease.
From the Sanskrit “to place in a special way,” vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow.
Inhalation is usually connected to upward, open movements, while exhalation is often tied to downward movements or twists.
In this class, postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated.
You can expect an emphasis on simplicity, repetition, and ease of movement.
Full-body relaxation and balance are the goals, as we make a full circuit of the body’s range of motion with standing postures, twists, backbends, forward folds, and hip openers.
