Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Sciences

Enabling people to   ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL

Do you want to give people the support they need to live healthier and more mobile lives? The Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Sciences team have expertise in physical activity, exercise, purposeful activity, health promotion and lifestyle management to foster healthy living. We offer courses that will help you pursue a career in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, sports and exercise therapy or sport and exercise medicine. You'll develop your skills and confidence through a combination of teaching, group work and placement experiences, and learn to solve problems and communicate effectively.

Using problem-solving approaches and evidence-based practice our courses provide students with a comprehensive range of modules covering the theory and practice. These enable students to consolidate and transfer skills to the wider clinical contexts. In addition, our Clinical Skills Suite is a purpose-built teaching facility designed to prepare students for these clinical and practice-based placements. Placements are organised on students’ behalf for some of our courses. We have excellent employment rates and receive excellent feedback from clinical educators and clinical managers alike.

your student experience

Right from the start, you'll start applying your knowledge in practical projects and exercises. You'll challenge yourself to discover skills and techniques, and you'll be supported all the way by fellow students, experienced staff, and even established practitioners. You'll take the next step with confidence.
