Starting your journey through university and living away from home can sometimes be difficult. Here are the teams dedicated to supporting you as you navigate through university life.
The Residence Life TeamIf you need support settling into halls, the Residence Life (ResLife) team can help. They are here to look after your welfare and give you support whilst you're living in your accommodation.
Whether you're having problems with flatmates, finding it hard to adjust to your new setting or just want to meet a friendly face for a chat the team are available for you. They are available to meet with you, either in their offices on City Campus or at the following halls: Arena Village, Carnegie Village, Kirkstall Brewery, Marsden House, Sugarwell Court and Woodhouse Flats.
The team have good links with university services, so can help point you towards the best team to support you. They all have experience of university life and understand what it's like to adjust to life in a new place.

emotional wellbeing and MENTAL health support
Leeds Beckett University have partnered with Kooth Student, who offer free, anonymous online counselling and emotional wellbeing platform accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of need.
The counsellors provide regular counselling sessions, as well as drop-in chats to discuss any difficulties you may be experiencing.
- Monday to Friday from 12:00–22:00
- Weekends from 18:00–22:00
Student Wellbeing Team
The Student Wellbeing team offers a free and confidential service aimed at providing you with information, practical and therapeutic support to help you manage any difficulties you are experiencing.
