Hi, I'm Bronwyn Tag, and I do Sports Business Management and I'm in my final year.
One of my favourite moments at university was being part of the women's rugby team. They were a really inclusive kind of community that welcomed me and it didn't matter how long you'd played for, what you looked like, what university degree you did, how old you were. They were just so welcoming and every time I walk out onto the pitch, I know that I've got 14 other people like with my back, and that's just a really nice, sort of, community feeling to have.
One of my most prominent moments of my first year that really helped my development throughout my university career was a guest lecturer I had with James Rrule who is an industry expert and a business coach, and he spoke to my cohort about a multitude of things, but it was very much the real world applications of all the small things you can do to help your development that little bit further.
By doing a consultancy project, that meant that actually I was working with the clients solving a real world problem and it was brilliant that in our weekly sessions, my lecturer would not only go through which content we needed for the next section and review it and give us feedback on how to improve it, but actually facilitate small groups in which we could come together and write our consultancy projects.
